Update devices firmware
Assistant Telematics products have two MCU chipsets. To update firmware, you mainly need to update the Main MCU firmware (files named AxxVxx with extension *.bin). Products such as AVT11x also include a CAN chipset with a separate CAN firmware. In rare cases you may need to update the modem firmware or boot loader firmware.
The update process can be performed via MT (cable), via a special program designed for batches, remotely via the AT@UPF command, or via the AT-RMS platform.
Update over cable via Configurator
Connect the device to the cable, open the Configurator, log in with credentials iotat / iotat, enter the device password (default at), and press Firmware Upgrade on the right side.
Quick Start- Select Main MCU
- Choose the firmware file *.bin AxxVxx (example: AVT20_R00A02V33_APP.bin)
- Press Start
Note: All firmware can be updated via cable through MT-Configurator, via a special software tool for batches, remotely using the AT@UPF command with a personal HTTP server, or through the AT-RMS platform.
